One-Day Industrial Visit at Nitin Spinners, Bhilwara (Date: – 16 Feb. 2019)

The industrial visit an integral part of the Engineering Design and Communication course. This is achieved through identifying learning outcomes and a suitable industrial site to achieve them. For this purpose a thermal power plant & Process of Spinning was indentified as a site to be visited by students as well department faculties. The visit was planned to help students to achieve the learning outcomes. In the Nitin spinner industrial Visit (thermal power plant & Process of Spinning) was identified as a site to be visited by Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, mechanical, chemical and Petro-chemical Second to Final year students.

Total number of Students Visit: – 50 Engineering Students

The visit is planned to help the students achieve the following:

  1. Learn about the process & Equipment of Thermal Power Plant – Boiler, Pump, Condenser, Steam turbine, Generator, Electrostatic precipitator, Pulverizer, Reclaimer etc. & generate the process flow diagram.
  2. Identify the input and output for different processes of Spinning.
  3. Understand the importance of Employs working with Proper safety.
  4. Understand the concept of thermal energy conversion & estimate overall efficiency of power plant.
  5. Visit the control panel room & learn about how to control the electrical Equipment & Process equipment.
  6. How to check the quality of Product on various software and find out how does the product of the plant interfaced to the world.
