It is a privilege for Electrical Engineering students to visit India’s first large scale lighting fixture plant of the country at Neemrana, Rajasthan. During the visit, our students got an opportunity to interact with Mr. Upendra Shukla GM-Operation (Lighting Division) and other company experts. They were taken to the world of Havells by company bus.During the visit students visited Neemrana – Motor Plant (Largest motor factory in India) & Neemrana – CFL Plant (Largest integrated CFL factory in Asia). The visit covers the area such as production process, productivity management, supply chain management, quality control, packaging, research and development, new product development, human resource management, industrial relation and corporate social responsibility practices adopted by the company.
The Industrial Visit is the part of academic activity of Mewar University to bridge the gap between industry-academia interactions. With an aim to go beyond academics, these visits are arranged to develop the insights of the students – attaining practical knowledge and their theoretical applications thereof.
